Friends of Cinéma du Réel Association

The association The Friends of Cinéma du Réel was created in 1984 under Joris Ivens honorary presidency. It helps the Bibliothèque publique d’information organizing the festival.

The association is supported and subsidized by the National Film Board, the Drac Ile-de-France, the Ministry of Foreign affairs, the Department of Culture (the Books and Reading Department, the French Heritage Trust - Mission to the ethnology), The Conseil Régional d’Île-de-France, Paris Townhall, the Procirep TV Committee, the Scam.

It is active through a network of French and foreign correspondents.
