A King Kong Day

To see (again) the mythical creature, the absolute “Other”, the King of the Island, and construe the different versions as a history of views and cinema. From Cooper and Schoedsack’s classic founding fi lm, King Kong (1933), to John Guillermin’s King Kong: The Legend Reborn of the ‘70s and Peter Jackson’s all-digital ape (King Kong, 2005).
